Config.cfg:

You can still use your own configuration file, but do not name it config.cfg; that is a special file loaded and saved automatically. Rename yours anything you like and add it to the command line (+exec {your filename), and it will be loaded after all the standard files. All of these go in the ID1 directory.
All command-line arguments are executed AFTER the default.cfg, config.cfg, and autoexec.cfg.

Alias Quick KeyStroke:

A console alias is a keyboard key set to a specific action.commands can be separated by semicolons.
may use any printable ASCII character except:, Space, Enter, Tab, Backspace, Escape, Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Pause,Pgup, Pgdn, Home, End, Del, Ins, Up Arrow, Down Arrow,Left Arrow, Right Arrow, F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12, AUX1, AUX2, AUX3, AUX4, AUX5, AUX6, AUX7, AUX8, AUX9, JOY1, JOY2, JOY3, MOUSE1, MOUSE2, and MOUSE3

An example and syntax of a move dictated by an alias would be:


+attack, +back, +forward, +forward2, +jump, +left, +lookdown, +lookup, +mlook, +movedown, +moveleft, +moveright, +moveup, +right, +showscores, +speed, +strafe, +use,
If the first character in {command} is a -command to turn the effect off, it will be produced when the key is released, but only for the first command If more than one is given.
Be sure Standard function keys: (These are by Default in quake setup)
